The JBL Control 23-1L Pair is an ultra-compact two-way loudspeaker system designed for high-quality background music, foreground music, paging, and speech applications. Each speaker combines a 3-inch woven-fiberglass low-frequency driver with a 0.5-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter and fluid cooling for clear, balanced reproduction across a broad 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. Its compact enclosure and contemporary appearance make it suitable for retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, educational facilities, health clubs, theme parks, music cafes, and leisure spaces.
The Control 23-1L provides a consistent 100° horizontal by 100° vertical coverage pattern for broad sound distribution. With 86 dB sensitivity, 50W power handling, and 100W continuous program capability, the loudspeaker delivers dependable performance for both music and speech. A 70 Hz protective high-pass filter is recommended to protect the system from excessive low-frequency energy and maintain reliable operation.
Designed for flexible indoor and outdoor installations, the Control 23-1L features a high-impact polystyrene enclosure with weather-resistant construction and transducers. The included InvisiBall wall-mounting system allows versatile positioning, while optional U-brackets, WeatherMax grilles, and ceiling-mount adapters provide additional installation options. The black finish and compact design integrate easily into a wide range of commercial environments.
