The JBL Control 25-1 Pair is a compact two-way loudspeaker system designed for high-quality background and foreground music, paging, and speech applications. Each speaker features a 5.25-inch woven-fiberglass woofer with a pure butyl rubber surround and a 0.75-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter with fluid cooling. Its broad 60 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and contemporary high-design appearance make the pair well suited for retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, health clubs, educational facilities, theme parks, music cafes, leisure spaces, and other commercial environments.
The Control 25-1 delivers consistent 100° horizontal by 100° vertical coverage with 90 dB sensitivity and 100W continuous pink-noise power handling. Direct 8-ohm operation supports 200W continuous program power, while the integrated 30W multi-tap transformer provides 70V and 100V distributed audio operation. Multiple transformer tap settings offer installation flexibility, while the recommended 60 Hz protective high-pass filter helps protect the loudspeaker from excessive low-frequency energy.
Designed for demanding indoor and outdoor installations, the Control 25-1 combines a high-impact polystyrene enclosure, zinc-plated grille, weather-resistant transducers, and an included InvisiBall wall-mounting system. It provides IP-44 outdoor capability and can achieve IP-55 protection with the optional WeatherMax grille and protective panel covers. Environmental resistance exceeds MilSpec 810 requirements for humidity, salt spray, temperature, and UV exposure, making the pair a durable solution for commercial sound applications.
