The JBL Control 418C/T 2-Pack delivers powerful full-range audio through two professional 8-inch two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeakers from the Control 400 Standard Coverage Series. Each speaker combines a 200 mm (8-inch) woofer with a 25 mm (1-inch) soft-dome tweeter, providing a 57 Hz–20 kHz frequency range and 92 dB sensitivity. With 100° conical coverage and up to 119 dB peak SPL, the pair provides high-output performance for commercial spaces, hotels, museums, and other installed audio environments.
Flexible 70V/100V & 8Ω Operation
Each Control 418C/T supports both 70V/100V distributed audio systems and direct 8Ω low-impedance operation. The built-in transformer provides 70V taps of 60W, 30W, 15W, and 7.5W, while 100V operation supports 60W, 30W, and 15W. Each speaker handles 135W continuous pink-noise power for 2 hours and up to 540W peak, while the direct 8Ω input provides flexibility for conventional low-impedance amplifier systems.
Efficient Installation & Modern Architectural Design
The integrated enclosure is designed for installation in most ceiling plenum spaces, while the redesigned terminal cover provides convenient top and side cable entry options. The reliable captive dogear mounting system accommodates a wide range of ceiling thicknesses and improves installation repeatability. Full-face bezel-free magnetic grilles provide a clean, paintable appearance with integrated safety tethers, while the package includes mounting hardware for professional installation.
