Description

The JBL MTC-447NC is an optional new-construction bracket designed for JBL Control 447C/T and 447LP ceiling loudspeakers. It is used during the pre-installation stage before sheetrock or gypsum board is installed, helping installers establish and reserve the speaker location in the ceiling.

Constructed from flat sheet metal, the bracket features wings for attachment to the building structure and provides a convenient location for securing speaker wiring behind the sheetrock. Pre-drilled mounting holes accommodate common 16 and 24 on-center construction spacing, while additional holes can be drilled for other spacing requirements up to 24.75 apart.

Once the sheetrock is installed, the bracket can serve as a guide for creating the speaker cutout, making it particularly useful for production-style installations involving multiple ceiling speakers. Each package includes six new construction brackets for Control 447C/T and 447LP loudspeakers.
