The JBL MTC-81BB8 4-Pack provides four pre-install in-ceiling backcans designed for professional ceiling speaker installations. Each backcan is compatible with the JBL 8138 ceiling loudspeaker and the JBL MTC-81TB8 tile bridge for suspended-ceiling applications. With an industry-standard 286mm, or 11.25-inch, mounting circle, these backcans support straightforward integration into compatible ceiling speaker systems.

Each backcan features an extra-large 7.4-liter internal volume, providing additional enclosure space that can help support improved low-frequency performance. Five 22mm conduit knockout locations—four positioned on the side of the can and one on the top panel—allow flexible conduit routing for different installation requirements. Two flexible perforated mounting straps, one on each side, provide practical options for securing the backcan during pre-installation.

Constructed from durable 16-gauge steel with a black polymer finish, the JBL MTC-81BB8 is designed for dependable use in commercial, residential, educational, hospitality, and other architectural audio installations. The nesting design allows multiple backcans to stack within one another, helping minimize storage and transportation space. This listing includes four backcans for larger installation projects or multi-speaker systems.
