The Mackie SRM-Flex is an ultra-portable column array PA system designed for small- to medium-sized venues. It combines powerful amplification, flexible connectivity, and professional SRM Series sound quality in a compact design. The system delivers 1300W of peak power through a 10" woofer and six 2" high-frequency drivers. Its wide-dispersion column array provides consistent sound coverage throughout the listening area. The system can be transported and configured by a single person. Its four-section design makes setup and breakdown quick and convenient.
Integrated Digital Mixer
The SRM-Flex features an integrated 6-channel digital mixer with dedicated physical controls for convenient operation. It provides two mono channels, two stereo channels, and flexible connections for microphones, instruments, line sources, and auxiliary devices. Channels 1 and 2 feature two-band EQ for straightforward tonal adjustment. Three application-specific voicing modes provide optimized settings for music, speech, and live performance. Three built-in reverb options add useful effects for vocals and other sources. The intuitive control layout allows quick adjustments during live performances and presentations.
Powerful Sound and Coverage
The SRM-Flex combines a 10" low-frequency woofer with six 2" dome tweeters to produce balanced full-range sound. Its 1300W peak amplification provides substantial headroom for clear and powerful audio reproduction. The system delivers a frequency range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz at -10 dB and 50 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB. A maximum peak SPL of 118 dB provides strong output for a variety of applications. The 90° horizontal by 40° vertical coverage pattern helps distribute sound across a wide listening area. This makes the system suitable for performances, presentations, events, and mobile entertainment.
Bluetooth and Wireless Control
Built-in Bluetooth 4.2 provides convenient wireless audio streaming from compatible mobile devices. Users can stream music, backing tracks, and other audio directly to the SRM-Flex without additional cables. Wireless mixing is also available through the SRM-Flex Connect app for compatible iOS and Android devices. Physical controls on the speaker remain available for direct operation when wireless control is not required. The combination of app-based and onboard controls provides flexible operation from different positions in the venue. This makes it easy to manage audio while moving around the performance or event space.
Flexible Connectivity
The SRM-Flex provides a comprehensive selection of inputs and outputs for connecting common professional and consumer audio sources. Two combo XLR-1/4" inputs accept microphone, line, and Hi-Z instrument signals. Two additional 1/4" TRS inputs provide balanced or unbalanced line-level connectivity. A 1/8" stereo auxiliary input allows convenient connection of compatible consumer audio devices. A balanced XLR line output can connect the system to another SRM-Flex or an external mixing system. This versatile I/O configuration makes the system adaptable to live sound, presentations, events, and mobile applications.
Portable and Practical Design
The SRM-Flex is designed for easy transportation, setup, and operation by a single person. The system breaks down into four sections, allowing the components to be packed efficiently for transportation between events. A built-in handle on the subwoofer and mixer section simplifies carrying and positioning. The included carry bag provides protection and convenient transport for the array and extender sections. A protective dust cover is included for the subwoofer and mixer module. Its compact portable construction makes the SRM-Flex well suited for mobile performers, presenters, entertainers, and small event applications.
