Combining Nord’s award-winning performance features with a hands-on interface, this lightweight instrument offers an exceptional playing experience and a refined new take on the stage piano concept.
It is the first Nord stage piano to incorporate triple sensors that detect hammer motion instead of key motion, ensuring a highly dynamic and expressive response.
The responsive triple-sensor keybed, developed by Kawai, provides outstanding control for both powerful percussive playing and delicate pianissimo passages. It allows for smooth repetitions and retriggering without the need to lift the keys completely. The Ivory Touch surface enhances the feel and realism of the keys, offering an authentic piano-playing experience.
The Nord Grand offers dedicated knobs and buttons for all essential live performance controls. Functions such as creating layers and splits, adding effects, or transposing can be adjusted instantly during a performance.
The Sample Synth Section includes a wide variety of high-quality sounds - Strings, Brass, Synths, Choirs, and more from the Nord Sample Library 3.0. It also contains a rich collection of Grand, Upright, Electric, and Digital pianos from the exclusive Nord Piano Library.
The Effect Section features a range of high-quality, stereo effects modeled after classic stompboxes. Each effect can be freely assigned to either the Piano or Sample Synth sections, allowing for flexible and expressive sound design.
