Description
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5 (DDJ REV5, DDJREV5) is a scratch-style 2-channel DJ controller for Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox, and both run with it free, with no license key or subscription. It has two large 8.1-inch (206 mm) jog wheels with a display in each, dedicated Stems buttons, Auto BPM Transition, Piano Play mode and a MAGVEL FADER crossfader, and it controls up to 4 decks in the software. For gigs it has an XLR master output, a booth output, two mic inputs and two USB Type-C ports for a DJ changeover. It measures 29.0 x 14.9 x 2.9 inches (736 x 377.2 x 73.4 mm), weighs 13.7 lb (6.2 kg) and runs from the included AC adapter.
The layout follows the PLX turntable and DJM-S mixer setup that open-format and battle DJs use: long tempo sliders run horizontally above each deck, and the Performance Pads and effect levers sit in the mixer section next to the faders, so scratching, pad play and effects are all within reach.

Is Serato DJ Pro free with the DDJ-REV5?
Yes. Plug the DDJ-REV5 into a PC or Mac running the latest Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox and you can use either one with no license key or subscription. For rekordbox it is a Hardware Unlock device, which opens Performance mode. A voucher for the Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ expansion pack is in the box.
What do the Stems buttons do?
They split a track into parts in the software so you can mute or solo each one live: vocals, melody, bass and drums in Serato DJ Pro, or vocal, drums and inst in rekordbox. With Deck Move you can send a part to another deck and build a live mashup or remix.
What are Auto BPM Transition and Piano Play?
Auto BPM Transition changes the tempo of the playing track over the number of bars you choose until it matches the track on the other deck, which makes it easier to mix between genres with very different BPMs. Piano Play turns the 16 Performance Pads into a piano keyboard that triggers a cue point at different semitones, with a choice of 3 scales.
Can the DDJ-REV5 control 4 decks?
Yes. The DECK button on each side selects which deck it controls, and Deck Move (SHIFT and LOAD) moves a track between decks 1 to 4. Dual Deck mode lets one side control two decks at once.
Do I need a laptop?
Yes. The DDJ-REV5 is a controller for Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox running on a PC or Mac. It has no built-in music player or screen of its own.
Can I plug in turntables?
No. The DDJ-REV5 has no phono inputs. Its AUX input takes a line-level RCA source, such as a phone or a CDJ. If you want to mix turntables through the controller, the DDJ-REV7 has two LINE/PHONO inputs.
Can two DJs connect at once?
Yes. There are two USB Type-C ports, so two computers can be connected and you switch between them on the controller. One USB cable is included; the second DJ needs a USB 2.0 cable of their own.
Does it run on USB power?
No. The DDJ-REV5 runs from the included AC adapter. The main unit draws DC 5 V, 3.0 A.
What is in the box?
The DDJ-REV5, an AC adapter, a power cord, one USB cable, a Quick Start Guide, Precautions for Use and a Serato DJ Pro Pitch 'n Time DJ voucher.
