The Radial Engineering SGI Stereo TX/RX is a high-performance two-channel line driver system designed for guitarists and musicians running stereo rigs. Consisting of a dedicated SGI Stereo TX transmitter and SGI Stereo RX receiver, it takes a pair of unbalanced, high-impedance instrument signals and converts them for long-distance transmission over a single standard Cat5 Ethernet cable. This allows stereo guitar, bass, or keyboard signals to be sent up to 100 meters (300 ft) with no noise, signal loss, or tone degradation, eliminating the need for long XLR or instrument cable runs.
Built for professional stage and studio environments, the SGI Stereo features locking RJ45 etherCON connectors on both the TX and RX units for secure, road-ready connections and compatibility with existing Ethernet infrastructure. The TX provides hi-Z ¼" L/R instrument inputs and thru-puts for feeding local amplifiers or direct boxes, while the RX delivers clean ¼" L/R outputs to remote amps or pedals. Additional features such as ground lift switches and a 180° polarity reverse switch on the left output help eliminate hum and correct phase issues in complex stereo amplifier setups.
In the studio, the SGI Stereo enables players to perform from the control room while their amplifiers remain isolated in live rooms or amp closets, preserving feel and tone while monitoring through studio speakers. On large stages, it overcomes the noise and signal degradation caused by long cable runs, lighting systems, and power interference, making it ideal for under-stage amps, isolation cabinets, or remote “quiet” rooms. Whether managing complex routing systems or extending stereo pedalboards to distant amplifiers, the SGI Stereo delivers pristine sound, streamlined connectivity, and reliable performance for demanding professional applications.
