The RCF BS 8 is a spherical speaker designed for suspended installation. Ideal for covering large areas, it incorporates a 200 mm (8”) loudspeaker which provides high-quality sound reproduction with excellent voice intelligibility. Its 360-degree coverage makes it suitable for open spaces such as retail floors, warehouses, industrial areas, and other environments that require uniform audio distribution. Equipped with a dual-cone wideband woofer and a system sensitivity of 93 dB, the BS 8 delivers clear, balanced sound across its 160 Hz to 12,500 Hz frequency range, reaching a maximum SPL of 106 dB at 1 meter.
The speaker includes a 100V transformer with selectable power taps (20 W, 10 W, 5 W), allowing easy integration into commercial audio systems and flexibility for different installation needs. With its 5-meter suspension cable, carabiner, and safety wire, the BS 8 installs easily and securely from ceiling structures. Its durable plastic housing and white RAL 9010 finishes provide a clean, unobtrusive appearance that blends well in various architectural spaces.
