The RCF IPS 5.0K is a high-performance two-channel Class-H professional amplifier designed for demanding audio applications. Featuring a self-protecting architecture with thermal, short circuit, DC, and VHF protections, the IPS 5.0K ensures reliable operation under heavy loads. The Advantage of Class H:
Class-H amplifiers modulate the supply voltage to the amplifier output devices so that it is never higher than necessary to support the signal swing. This reduces dissipation across the output devices and allows the amplifier to operate with optimized efficiency, regardless of output power level. Up to full power, a Class-H design requires less energy than a pure Class-AB design and is better suited for high-power applications.

With a very high signal-to-noise ratio, IPS amplifiers also boast very low total harmonic distortion, making them perfect for highly demanding music applications. This ensures excellent vocal intelligibility and clear audio reproduction across a wide frequency range.
Self-protecting Architecture:
IPS Amplifiers implement several safety strategies to protect both the amplifier and the connected sound system. Effective peak limiting protects the transducers, while the temperature-controlled continuous variable-speed double-fan system (front to back), combined with high-efficiency heat sinks, maintains optimal working temperature under any environmental condition. The circuit is also protected from overheating, short circuits, infrasonic DC, and Very High Frequency (VHF) peaks from non-musical signals that could damage speakers.
