The RCF KXL 4-A is a compact, flexible high-output 2-way active speaker engineered for professional users, combining precise directivity, high SPL capability, and advanced rigging for both vertical and horizontal array configurations. The low-frequency section features two 10” neodymium drivers in a bass-reflex design; the high-frequency section comprises a neodymium compression driver with a 4” titanium dome, coupled to a rotatable 100° x 25° True Resistive Waveguide. Transducers can be swapped (firmware update required). An integrated two-channel 3200 W Class D amplifier with proprietary DSP processing and remote management via RDNet enables optimal system performance. Its weatherproof, multifunctional enclosure supports versatile deployment for ground-stacked, pole-mounted, or flown applications.

This special waveguide design allows the deployment of multiple KXL 4-A for excellent control of directional characteristics. In difficult acoustic environments, intelligibility is significantly increased.

Low Frequency
The 4-inch pure titanium dome NDT995 compression driver maximizes linearity, precision and long-term reliability. Its motor structure features a high-flux density neodymium magnet assembly, ultralight edge wound aluminum wire, a 4-slot phase plug, and a copper ring design to deliver exceptional power handling, sensitivity, and low distortion across its operating bandwidth. With a very low crossover point at 750 Hz, this allows a better impulse response, fast decay and superior efficiency. Lightweight and powerful, RCF neodymium drivers are a reference in performance and reliability.
High Frequency
The two 10-inch Hypervented woofer of the Precision Transducers line enable a compact, slim design while delivering high power. The magnetic structure features a large neodymium magnet, ensuring extremely high flux density within the gap. The newly designed aluminum basket and magnetic assembly provide excellent heat dissipation and significantly reduce power compression. Special air-forced ventilation is incorporated into the voice coil, magnet assembly, and basket, optimizing cooling efficiency. The M-roll surround and spider design ensure superb linearity and highly accurate sound reproduction.

RDNet is an advanced platform for integrated monitoring and control of sound systems - from small live and installed setups to massive arena systems. Based on a robust networked architecture, RDNet combines system control, line array design, and comprehensive audio measurements into a single powerful software package.

The solid machined aluminum structure efficiently dissipates heat fanlessly, improving enclosure stiffness, while the high-strength structural steel rigging ensures a high safety factor for secure weight management. Bass Motion Control
KX speakers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.
New Perspective on Linearity
KX speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system. The algorithm corrects phase and amplitude (if necessary) by taking into account the weak points of the transducers and the resonances or cancellations due to the cabinet of the loudspeaker.
