The RCF SUB 9004-AS is a single 18" high power active subwoofer. It employs a state of the art transducer featuring a hypervented high power neodymium magnetic circuit with 4" voice coil. The extremely high-power amplifier is a new design that delivers extended low frequency performance. Due to its rugged construction, it is perfect for AV rental inventories.
Networked Control and Much More
RDNet is an advanced platform for the integrated monitoring and control of sound reinforcement systems – from small live productions and permanent installations to large-scale stadium systems. With a robust network architecture, RDNet combines system control, line array configuration, simulation, and comprehensive FFT audio measurements in a single, powerful software package.
Users and technicians can intuitively manage every device on the network, from individual components to multiple groups. The platform's flexible configuration tools enable full DSP control of compatible devices for precise system response at maximum speed. Users can view and adjust all critical settings in real time via a central interface.
High-Quality Electronics
The power amplifier features an integrated, low-noise 32-bit digital signal processor that allows convenient control of soft limiting, RMS limiter, polarity, volume, time delay, and tone controls via RCF's proprietary RDNet network. The RDNet network management software provides access to all settings, monitoring functions, and advanced features. The rear panel offers adjustments for input sensitivity, low-cut filter, crossover frequency, volume, bypass, delay, and preset selection. The wide-range power supply ensures full power output from 100V to 260V. The amplifier is mounted on floating rubber dampers, providing additional protection against shocks during transport.
Hyper-Ventilation System
RCF designed these components to achieve the cleanest, most powerful, and distortion-free bass reproduction possible. The cone diaphragm is made of 30% carbon fiber, 20% glass fiber, and 50% cellulose. This special chemical composition was carefully balanced to improve the diaphragm's robustness and rigidity, preventing deformation and the resulting loss of efficiency. The inside/outside wound 4-inch voice coil on a rigid fiberglass former ensures more efficient cooling. The former is reinforced internally and externally with Nomex, further increasing the overall rigidity and improving energy transfer between the voice coil and the diaphragm. To better dissipate the heat generated by the high-performance voice coil, RCF engineers developed the unique "Hyper-Ventilation" system with minimal power loss. The speaker diaphragm is water-resistant.
Housing
The enclosure is constructed from high-quality birch plywood. Each layer is bonded with a special waterproof adhesive, making the enclosure completely weatherproof. The subwoofers are stackable and lightweight, and easy to set up and take down. Top and side mounting flanges allow for use in various configurations. The removable dolly with extremely robust casters facilitates transport.
