The Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 is a professional, half-rack, dual-channel digital wireless receiver compatible with EW-DX SK bodypack, SKM handheld, and TS tabletop transmitters. Built into a rugged all-metal chassis, it is designed to withstand the demands of both portable setups and permanent A/V installations. The receiver can sit on a tabletop or be rack-mounted using the included hardware, making it versatile for live performances, presentations, and broadcast environments. Its wide 87 MHz tuning range and UHF operation provide reliable long-range performance (up to 330') while avoiding interference from 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signals.
Equipped with intelligent switching diversity, an equidistant tuning grid, and Link Density mode, the EW-DX EM 2 delivers stable audio even in RF-challenging environments. It supports up to 146 channels in standard mode and up to 293 channels in Link Density mode, while AES-256 encryption ensures secure, private transmissions. Dual high-contrast OLED screens and intuitive front-panel controls make setup quick and easy, and the receiver pairs via Bluetooth with transmitters from up to 120 feet away. Auto-scan functionality further simplifies finding the cleanest available frequencies for interference-free operation.
Advanced network management options include the Smart Assist app for iOS/Android, Control Cockpit software for Windows, and Wireless Systems Manager for large-scale deployments, allowing full monitoring, frequency planning, and remote adjustments. The receiver also supports third-party interface plug-ins for integration into complex setups. Rear-mounted, detachable antennas can be upgraded for extended range and improved reliability, and the EW-D ASA splitter allows multiple receivers to share antenna signals without intermodulation issues, ensuring consistently clear, professional wireless performance.
