The Sennheiser EW-DX SKM is a professional digital handheld wireless transmitter designed for seamless operation with EW-DX wireless receivers in live performance, broadcast, and presentation environments. Lightweight and ergonomically balanced, it offers comfortable handling for vocalists, presenters, and performers, while its rugged all-metal construction ensures long-term reliability under demanding stage conditions. Supplied without a microphone capsule, the EW-DX SKM gives users the freedom to select the capsule that best suits their vocal style or application.
Engineered for exceptional audio performance, the transmitter features an impressive 134 dB input dynamic range, allowing it to handle anything from soft speech to powerful vocals without the need for gain adjustment. A trim control is included for fine level matching in group or shared-mic situations. The system’s wide 80 MHz tuning bandwidth and equidistant tuning grid distribute 3,200 frequencies evenly to eliminate intermodulation issues, enabling stable operation with up to 134 channels, or up to 269 channels when using Link Density mode. Bluetooth connectivity allows fast pairing and setup from distances of up to 120 feet.
User-friendly features make the EW-DX SKM practical for everyday professional use. The high-contrast e-Ink display remains visible even when powered off, making it easy to identify transmitters and settings at a glance. Power options include up to 8 hours of operation with two included AA batteries, or up to 12 hours with the optional BA 70 rechargeable battery pack, which supports in-transmitter charging via the CHG 70N network charger. With support for a wide range of interchangeable Sennheiser and Neumann microphone capsules, the EW-DX SKM is a flexible, high-performance handheld transmitter tailored for modern wireless systems.
