The Shure BLX1288/P31 (BLX1288-P31, BLX1288/PGA31) is a dual-channel wireless combo system that runs a PG58 handheld vocal microphone and a PGA31 headset microphone at the same time on one BLX88 receiver, for a singer and a presenter, or a worship leader and a speaker. It covers up to 300 feet (91 m) line of sight, and each transmitter runs up to 14 hours on a pair of AA batteries.
Setup takes a one-touch scan: a group scan on the receiver finds an open frequency, then you match the group and channel on each transmitter. Up to 12 channels can run per frequency band, depending on region and environment. This listing offers the H9 (512 to 542 MHz), H10 (542 to 572 MHz), H11 (572 to 596 MHz) and J11 (596 to 616 MHz) band versions.

Can two people use the BLX1288/P31 at the same time?
Yes. The BLX88 receiver has two channels, one for the PG58 handheld and one for the PGA31 headset, so both microphones can be live at once into your mixer.
How far can the transmitters be from the receiver?
Up to 300 feet (91 m) with a clear line of sight. Walls, crowds and other RF sources shorten the usable range, so place the receiver where it can see the stage.
How long do the batteries last?
Up to 14 hours per transmitter on a pair of AA alkaline batteries. Two sets of AA batteries are included, one for each transmitter.
Which frequency band should I choose?
Any of the four works on its own. If you already run other wireless systems, pick a band that does not overlap them: H9 covers 512 to 542 MHz, H10 542 to 572 MHz, H11 572 to 596 MHz and J11 596 to 616 MHz.
How does the BLX1288/P31 compare with other BLX systems?
The BLX1288/MX153 uses the same BLX88 dual receiver but swaps the PG58 for an SM58 handheld and the PGA31 headset for an MX153 earset. The BLX1288/CVL keeps the PG58 and adds a CVL lavalier instead of a headset. For one headset only, the BLX14/P31 uses the single-channel BLX4 receiver (7.40 in wide, 8.5 oz) instead of the BLX88 (12.13 in wide, 15.1 oz). For two singers, the BLX288/PG58 pairs the BLX88 with two PG58 handhelds.
