The Shure Nexadyne 8 (NXN8) is a wired dynamic vocal microphone for live singers and speakers, built on Shure's Revonic dual-engine design: two matched transducers that cancel handling noise and cut stage bleed. Choose the Nexadyne 8/C (NXN8/C) cardioid or the Nexadyne 8/S (NXN8/S) supercardioid; both cover 50 to 20,000 Hz on a standard 3-pin XLR connector.

The 8/C gives a natural, wide-open sound with a generous pickup area for singers who move between soft passages and full-voice moments. The 8/S has a tighter pattern for maximum rejection of cymbal bleed, monitor wash and crowd noise on dense stages. Both share the same hardware, a dent-resistant hardened grille and a discreet black finish, and both ship with a mic clip and zippered case.

Cardioid or supercardioid: which Nexadyne 8 should I pick?

Pick the 8/C cardioid if you move around the mic and want a wider, more forgiving pickup area. Pick the 8/S supercardioid if you share a loud, crowded stage and need the most rejection of monitors and cymbals; it is also the hotter of the two, at -51.0 dBV/Pa against -54.0 dBV/Pa for the 8/C.

What does Revonic technology do?

It uses two matched transducers, mechanically identical and electrically out of phase, so unwanted vibrations cancel. Shure lists three results: less mechanical and handling noise, a consistent polar pattern with strong off-axis rejection, and an output that needs less external EQ.

Is there a wireless Nexadyne?
