The Solid State Logic ULTRAVIOLET Stereo Equalizer (UV EQ) brings the acclaimed minimum phase-shift Violet stereo EQ from the SSL Fusion into a versatile 500-series format. Designed for sculpting instruments, enhancing busses, and fine-tuning masters, UV EQ adds two fully parametric SSL mid-band EQs with precision ‘Focus’ mode, offering unprecedented tonal control and flexibility in a compact module. Paired perfectly with the SSL G-COMP Stereo Bus Compressor, it delivers advanced SSL processing for any studio setup.

UV EQ features a 4-band stereo EQ with high and low shelving bands, dual fully parametric mid-bands, a high-pass filter at key fixed frequencies, and dedicated output trim. The minimum-phase design inherited from Fusion ensures musical and transparent processing, while the parametric mid-bands allow precise control over the most critical frequencies. This combination of surgical precision and creative color makes UV EQ a powerful tool for shaping your mix.

Focus mode enhances the mid-bands by narrowing the Q setting and extending the gain range from ±9 dB to ±18 dB, allowing users to target problem frequencies or accentuate specific tones with surgical accuracy. The HPF tightens the low end and interacts with the LF shelving band for flexible sculpting, while the dedicated Trim control ensures the perfect amount of headroom or controlled clipping. With UV EQ, engineers and producers can achieve both the musicality of classic SSL EQ and the precision needed for modern mixing demands.
