Description
The Solid State Logic MADI TO DANTE BRIDGE is a professional broadcast-grade interface designed to seamlessly connect the MADI audio format with Dante, AES67, or ST 2110 networks. It offers bi-directional audio conversion, capable of delivering up to 64 channels at 48 kHz, 32 channels at 96 kHz, or 16 channels at 192 kHz. The unit’s innovative ‘Split Mode’ allows two 32-channel streams at 96 kHz to be merged into a single 64-channel stream at 48 kHz, providing flexible routing options for complex broadcast and live audio workflows. This makes it an ideal solution for integrating legacy MADI systems with modern IP audio networks without compromising channel count or audio quality.
In addition to its high channel capacity, the MADI-Bridge features bidirectional sample rate conversion between any asynchronous sample rates from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz. This ensures compatibility across a wide range of audio sources and systems, maintaining precise timing and signal integrity. The unit is built for reliability, with redundant power supplies, redundant MADI ports, and redundant IP network connections. Beyond the built-in redundancy of Dante Controller, the MADI-Bridge also includes a pair of redundant sync inputs that can function as a self-redundant PTPv1 or PTPv2 Grand Master clock, ensuring continuous and stable operation in critical broadcast environments.
The MADI-Bridge also supports advanced 32-bit MADI control tunnelling, allowing two MADI-Bridges to carry both audio and user data—including control information—across a network. GPIO connectivity enables the embedding of tallies across the network, and redundant network extension ports allow local I/O operation without the need for an external network switch. Word Clock output provides synchronization for connected MADI devices to the Dante network, while the virtual headphone patch system offers four-location monitoring and signal present metering. A Lockout Mode further protects the front-panel settings from accidental changes, making the MADI-Bridge a reliable and versatile tool for professional broadcast and live audio integration.
