The Solid State Logic EEQMK2 E-Series EQ 500 module captures the iconic sonic character of the early-80s Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console-one of the most influential recording tools in modern music history. At the heart of the E-Series EQ module are the classic “Black-242” and “Brown-02” EQ circuits, which offer two distinct tonal flavors drawn directly from different revisions of the SL 4000 E console. Producers can instantly switch between the smoother, more rounded Brown EQ and the more focused, assertive Black EQ, giving unmatched flexibility for shaping vocals, instruments, and full mixes. Each variant retains its original response curves and behavior, faithfully preserving the nuances that engineers have relied on for decades.
The module provides a powerful and versatile 4-band EQ architecture, including fully parametric LMF and HMF bands with variable Q for precise tone sculpting.
