The Solid State Logic ORIGIN is the latest analogue console from SSL, combining decades of heritage with modern hybrid DAW workflow. It preserves the traditional analogue workflow while perfectly complementing digital production environments, providing a seamless bridge between classic SSL console sound and contemporary studio setups.

Analogue Sound and Mic Preamps:

Each channel features the acclaimed E-Series 4-band parametric EQ, offering variable cut/boost, HF/LF bell/shelf switches, and independent sweep able HPF. The PureDrive mic preamps provide ultra-clean transparency in ‘Pure’ mode and a warm, harmonically-rich tone in ‘Drive’ mode, delivering a versatile sonic character that suits both analogue and hybrid workflows.

Mix Bus and Dynamics:

ORIGIN’s mix bus and architecture deliver high headroom and ultra-low noise, retaining the classic SSL sound. The legendary SSL Bus Compressor features updated compression ratios, insert return, and a built-in sidechain filter, providing the punch and glue engineers expect while integrating perfectly with modern production demands.

Flexible Centre Section & Monitoring:

The modular 19" rack-based center section can be repositioned to accommodate outboard gear, workstation controllers, or custom setups. Monitoring is highly flexible, with independent trims, alternate monitors, DIM, MONO, and polarity controls, plus four stereo return inputs for routing to mix and track buses, enabling precise control over complex signal paths.

Workflow and Ergonomics:

ORIGIN is designed for efficiency and creative workflow. Stem-ready 0 dB fader bypass switches, channel direct outputs, and comprehensive Solo Master controls ensure fast access to essential features. Auto Sleep mode reduces power consumption, while the adjustable meter bridge and ergonomically arranged controls keep the engineer focused on the music rather than the interface.
