The Solid State Logic SDI-8 provides seamless bidirectional bridging between embedded SDI audio, your IP network, and MADI systems, making it ideal for modern broadcast and live production environments. It features eight 3G-SDI paths, each capable of embedding and de-embedding up to 16 audio channels, allowing full integration of SDI-based audio into your wider network setup. Dual Dante and triple MADI connectivity, including 2 optical and 1 coaxial I/O, ensures flexible and high-capacity audio transport across multiple domains.
Beyond SDI-to-Dante bridging, the unit supports direct bridging between SDI and MADI infrastructures. Internal channel-by-channel routing allows precise and flexible management of all audio paths, enabling engineers to route individual channels across SDI, Dante, and MADI with ease. AES connectivity further extends compatibility, while sample rate conversion (SRC) on the audio path to and from SDI ensures consistent audio quality across differing formats.
Designed for 24/7 broadcast operations, the SDI-8 includes full redundancy for power supplies, MADI ports, and Dante connections, providing maximum reliability.
