The Solid State Logic SiX is a compact yet fully professional console designed for studio recording, post-production, live performance, and podcasting. Its two mono channels feature SSL SuperAnalogue mic preamps, delivering a transparent and fast signal with an impressive 66dB gain range. Each channel includes phantom power, a 75Hz high-pass filter, independent line/instrument input, and a one-knob compressor based on SSL’s classic feed-forward design, making it easy to dial in consistent levels and sit signals perfectly in the mix.

Both mono channels feature a two-band SSL EQ with selectable shelf and bell curves, while 100mm faders provide precise level control. Fully balanced insert points allow integration of external processors or direct dry recording to a DAW. The Alternate input switch expands the console’s flexibility by adding two extra mono channels, and the two stereo input channels with trim, balance, and fader control, along with two stereo external inputs, enable up to 12 channels to be summed into the main mix bus.

SiX also delivers professional master bus functionality with a G Series Bus Compressor and inserts for external processing tools. Routing and monitoring are inherited from SSL’s large-format consoles, including stereo Cue buses, main and alternate monitor outputs, a monitor source matrix, PFL, mute routing to Bus B, and talkback with the unique Listen Mic Compressor. Combining classic SSL processing, versatile routing, and a compact footprint, SiX brings the sound and workflow of a large SSL console into a highly portable and flexible format.
