The Waldorf Iridium Core Digital Synthesizer Compact Hybrid Sound Design Module is a compact yet powerful synthesizer that delivers the essence of Waldorf’s advanced synthesis technology in a portable form factor. Based on the acclaimed Waldorf Synthesis Platform OS and fully compatible with the Quantum engine, Iridium Core offers five synthesis engines: Wavetable, Virtual Analog, Particle (sampling and granular), Resonator, and Kernels. Each voice features three oscillators, true stereo dual digital filters, and an extensive modulation system, providing limitless sound design capabilities.

The intuitive high resolution touchscreen ensures seamless creative flow, while the 40-slot modulation matrix, six envelopes, six LFOs, and Komplex Modulator unlock vast modulation options. A dedicated Digital Former adds comb filters, bit-crushing, drive, and ring modulation. Five effect slots per layer provide reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger, EQ, and more.
