The Warm Audio EQP-WA is a faithful recreation of the legendary Pultec-style passive equalizer, designed to deliver the smooth, musical tone shaping that defined countless classic recordings. Renowned for its ability to enhance both clarity and warmth simultaneously, the EQP-WA brings vintage analog EQ character into modern studios with exceptional depth, richness, and tonal flexibility.
At its core, the EQP-WA features the classic boost and attenuation interaction that allows engineers to sculpt low and high frequencies in a uniquely musical way. The low-frequency section provides selectable frequency shaping with independent boost (up to +12 dB) and cut (up to -18 dB), enabling everything from tight bass enhancement to subtle midrange tightening. The high-frequency section offers selectable boost and cut frequencies with adjustable bandwidth control, allowing either sharp, surgical adjustments or wide, natural tonal shaping depending on the desired result.
Built for professional workflow flexibility, the EQP-WA includes a front-panel bypass switch that removes the EQ circuitry from the signal path (without true hard bypass design behavior), along with a dedicated power switch and indicator lamp. On the rear panel, balanced XLR and TRS I/O ensure studio-grade connectivity, while selectable 115V/230V operation supports global use. A tube gain trim control provides fine output matching and tonal shaping options, allowing engineers to fine-tune headroom, warmth, and stereo consistency with precision.
