At its core, the WA-251 features a carefully selected JJ 12AY7 vacuum tube, known for its smooth and balanced frequency response, paired with a CineMag USA transformer that enhances both low-end weight and airy high-frequency detail. The microphone also includes a high-quality Gotham Audio GAC-7 7-pin cable, ensuring clean signal transfer with reduced phase shift and improved stereo image depth, maintaining full integrity of the tube circuit’s sonic character.
