Designed for intuitive operation with deep control, the WA-2A features Peak Reduction and Output Gain controls to easily dial in the desired amount of compression and makeup gain. A Compress/Limit switch allows you to choose between smooth compression or near-limiting behavior for tighter dynamic control. Additional features such as Pre-Emphasis help shape the sidechain response to prevent overreaction to certain frequencies, while the selectable VU meter modes provide clear monitoring of gain reduction and output levels. Though not a true bypass, reducing Peak Reduction to zero allows the signal to pass through the tube circuitry, adding subtle warmth and sheen.

Built with a fully discrete, Class-A all-tube signal path, the WA-2A uses premium components including custom CineMag transformers, a high-quality Kenetek T4B optical attenuator, and a robust tube complement for authentic vintage response. Balanced XLR and TRS I/O ensure seamless studio integration, while stereo link capability allows two units to operate together for accurate stereo compression. Hand-tested for reliability and performance, the WA-2A delivers timeless analog tone with the precision and flexibility required in today’s recording environments.
