True to the character of sought-after small-format ribbon microphones, the WA-2FT produces tight, powerful lows and rich, detailed midrange while naturally smoothing harsh high frequencies above 15 kHz. It’s warm and forgiving sound profile enhances presence without exaggerated brightness or sibilance, helping instruments sit smoothly in dense mixes. The figure-8 pickup pattern minimizes side-address noise while capturing sound from the front and rear, making it ideal for stereo setups or recording multiple performers facing each other with improved isolation and clarity.
Built with premium modern components, the WA-2FT features custom Japanese ribbons, rare-earth Neodymium magnets, and USA-made CineMag transformers to deliver authentic ribbon tone with enhanced reliability. Each microphone includes a selectable all-analog 26 dB JFET Warm Lifter in-line preamp, providing clean gain for direct connection to audio interfaces or low-powered preamps without tone or frequency loss. Carefully hand-inspected and tested at Warm Audio headquarters in Austin, Texas, the WA-2FT stereo pair offers professional performance, vintage character, and modern versatility for demanding recording environments.
