At its core, the WA-87jr SE-N features a gold-sputtered, single-backplate K87-style capsule inspired by the legendary WA-87 pro studio microphone. This capsule accurately recreates the tonal character of vintage ‘87 designs, delivering pristine highs, clear midrange, and detailed, focused audio reproduction with a natural analog warmth.

Built with a fully discrete signal path, ultra-low self-noise, and wide dynamic range, the WA-87jr SE-N ensures clean, professional-quality recordings straight out of the box. It includes a custom hard mount and premium leather storage pouch for protection and convenience, while each unit is hand-tested in Austin, Texas to guarantee consistent performance and reliability.
