Featuring all the critical 76-style controls-including attack, release, ratio, input, output, and meter display-the WA76-D2 also adds powerful modern features for enhanced versatility. A built-in dry/wet mix enables parallel compression without additional routing, while selectable input impedance, active and true bypass modes, and variable sidechain high-pass filtering allow precise control over low-frequency response and overall dynamics. These additions make the WA76-D2 ideal for both traditional tracking setups and modern hybrid production workflows.
At the heart of the WA76-D2 are custom large-core CineMag input and output transformers built to the same material specifications used in classic vintage designs, ensuring authentic analog coloration and depth. Premium components-including ceramic and electrolytic capacitors, metal film resistors, and a refined preamp stage-deliver accurate D-style circuitry with improved linear response and reduced noise. Hand-tested and inspected in Austin, Texas, the WA76-D2 combines legendary compression tone with modern reliability, making it a powerful centerpiece for professional studios and serious producers alike.
