Designed to handle hundreds of plug-ins in real time, it delivers massive DSP power with ultra-low latency, making it ideal for live mixing, recording, and virtual soundcheck workflows. Fully compatible with live consoles equipped with Waves networking cards, the system integrates seamlessly into existing SoundGrid setups.
At the core of the system is the Extreme-C SoundGrid Server, a compact 2 RU half-rack DSP unit powered by a 10th-generation Intel Core i7-10700 processor and 8 GB of RAM. Its rugged industrial design includes quiet, temperature-controlled cooling, LED indicators for network and system status, and reliable etherCon connectivity for touring and fixed installations alike. The combo also includes a Waves-approved 8-port Gigabit network switch and Cat 6 cables, ensuring fast, stable networking with SoundGrid I/O devices or native ASIO/Core Audio systems.
Rounding out the package is Waves SuperRack, an advanced live plug-in host supporting up to 128 channels with near-zero latency via SoundGrid. SuperRack offers powerful workflow tools such as snapshots, custom layers, multitouch operation, rack linking, and system monitoring, giving engineers complete control over complex live shows. A 1-year Waves Essentials plug-in subscription is also included, providing 110 professional plug-ins to cover all essential processing needs from day one.
