At its core is the Extreme-C SoundGrid Server, a compact 2 RU half-rack DSP unit with a 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and ultralow latency as low as 0.8 ms. Designed for both live and studio environments, it can run hundreds of SoundGrid-compatible plug-ins in real time while maintaining a sleek, durable design with LED network and temperature monitoring, sturdy RAM positioning, and quick-install rack ears.
Included in the system is the Netgear GS108-400NAS ProSAFE 8-Port Gigabit Switch, allowing easy expansion of your network. This fanless switch automatically adjusts for network speed and cabling, providing reliable gigabit throughput with a non-blocking architecture and 16 Gbps total bandwidth. Energy-efficient and plug-and-play, it features traffic prioritization, front-panel LEDs for monitoring, and a durable metal case, ensuring stable and efficient operation for mission-critical live audio setups.
The Waves SuperRack host application completes the system, offering an advanced plug-in rack that supports up to 128 audio channels and near-zero latency using SoundGrid technology. SuperRack allows customizable workflow with snapshots, multitouch control, user-assignable keys, and linked racks for simultaneous adjustments. Its intuitive interface, Hot Plugins panel, and touch-and-slide fader provide precise control of all plug-in parameters, while network monitoring, event logs, and optional DSP redundancy ensure a reliable and professional live mixing experience.
