Installation Sound Box Column Array Design

The advantages of columns in certain situations are the reason why you should consider this type of installation box. If the space you are sounding suffers from poor acoustics, the column speaker will, with its perfectly aligned speakers and uniform sound dispersion in the space, minimize unwanted echoes and reflections.

The geometry of the box also makes installation easier because it is easy to position and direct towards the space that will be evenly covered by the sound.

Due to all these features, the space in which the column boxes are installed will have fewer problems with feedback microphony.

Nine Full Range 3" Drivers, Two 1" Tweeters, 360w Rms Power

The system consists of nine speakers covering bass and midrange frequencies and two tweeters that provide the highest spectrum and sound clarity. The total continuous RMS power of the box is 360W while the recommended amplifier power is set to 720W at 4Ω.

Together they reach up to 128dB of maximum SPL sound pressure with a frequency range of 120Hz to 20KHz. The Wharfedale Pro Sigma-XV9T boxes come with U bracket   brackets for mounting on a supporting surface.

Built-In Transformer For 100v (70v) Installations

The Wharfedale Pro Sigma-XV9T has a built-in transformer for 100V (70V) installations. In 70V installation, the power can be set to 15, 30, 60 and 120W, while in 100V mode the box operates at 30, 60 or 120W. You select the power on the built-in selector.

MINI EVO-FOLD Waveguide Tweeter, Uniform Sound Dispersion 120˚ X 20˚

SIGMA-XV models feature a sophisticated EVO-Fold waveguide that is installed on the tweeters. The EVO-Fold design allows for even, uniform sound dispersion both vertically and horizontally. This gives the enclosure the advantage of even, wide sound dispersion in space. A horizontal 120˚ and a vertical 20˚ are enough to perfectly cover the space with the Wharfedale Pro Sigma-XV9T. The geometry of the tall and narrow enclosure makes installation and optimal positioning easy.
