Wharfedale WLA-121SUB, 21-Inch High-Performance Subwoofer

The WD-WLA-121SUB is a high-performance 21-inch subwoofer designed to deliver exceptional infrabass extension and unrivaled sound pressure levels. Manufactured by Beyma in Europe, the driver in the WD-WLA-121SUB incorporates cutting-edge technology and superior craftsmanship to produce deep, powerful, and controlled low-frequency output.

21-Inch High-end Subwoofer, Standing or Floating

The Wharfedale Pro WLA-121 subwoofer is the low-end support of the new WLA-1 system. The bolide can be flown in an array with the models WLA-112 or WLA-115, as well as placed or stacked on the ground. The assembly of the passive PA subwoofer comes from the well-known house of Beyma.

The housing with the integrated flight mechanics is made of 18mm thick birch plywood and defies the hated everyday touring with its Rhino-Rock PU coating. Thanks to the 4 integrated ERGO handles, the 70kg subwoofer can be conveniently placed or transported.

Combined Array Flight Operation

The subwoofer can be flown in an array with the optional WLA-1 common flying frame with either 2 x WLA-112 or WLA-115.

Stacking Mode

In stacking mode, the subwoofers can accommodate up to three WLA-112 or WLA-115 with the optional WLA-121SUB arm. Here, a 0° and a negative -5° angling is possible for the first element of the array in order to incline the lowest module on the subwoofer towards the audience.    

A Passive Subwoofer Is Only as Powerful as Its Amplifier

For a perfect performance, you also need the right power amplifiers and perfect tuning. If you want to operate the system with your own or existing power amplifiers in a suitable performance class, we recommend the Wharfedale SC-48FIR system controller. The ready-made presets and internal FIR filter technology get the most out of your passive Wharfedale Pro Line Array. Furthermore, the new Wharfedale Pro DP-F or DP-N power amplifiers are available in a 2- or 4-channel version with up to 4 x 2890W at 2 ohms. The DP-F versions can be configured via network, the DP-N power amplifiers also offer a Dante module on board.
