The Whirlwind MS-12-4-XL-050 Medusa Standard Box to Fan Snake provides a professional 50-foot connection solution with 12 XLR sends and 4 XLR returns. Designed for live sound, touring, production, and installation applications, this Medusa Series snake connects stagebox inputs and outputs to mixing consoles or other audio equipment through a durable, organized cable assembly. Whirlwind Medusa snakes have been used in professional touring environments for decades, combining practical stage connectivity with rugged construction for demanding applications.

The stagebox features heavy-duty powder-coated steel construction with integrated Whirlwind connectors and a convenient carrying handle. The multipair cable is NEC CM rated and uses flexible construction with pairs consisting of two twisted 24-gauge 7x32 polyethylene-insulated conductors, 100% foil shielding, and a 24-gauge drain wire. The 3-foot fanout is reinforced with multiple layers of rugged heat shrink at critical points, helping provide additional protection against the repeated handling associated with live production and touring environments.

The fanout connectors feature engraved numbers and letters for straightforward channel identification, while a genuine Kellems wire mesh hanger provides secure support at the mixing console. Genuine Kellems strain relief and grip components with an internal cable clamp help protect the cable assembly from mechanical stress during use.
