The Whirlwind PB24 is a passive pressbox microphone output expander designed for professional broadcast, press conference, and commercial conferencing applications. Housed in a rugged steel case, it is built to withstand the demands of live events while providing reliable performance. The unit is compatible with Whirlwind's PRESSPOWER2 and PRESSMITE active press boxes, as well as any application where a line-level feed is available.
This expander allows a single line-level input to be distributed to 24 microphone-level outputs. Each output is transformer-isolated, ensuring superior inter-channel isolation and minimizing crosstalk between channels. The use of Whirlwind’s TRSP-2 transformers throughout guarantees high-quality signal transmission with minimal degradation.
In addition to its robust construction, the PB24 features ground-lifting on every output to eliminate hum and other noise issues. Its convenient carrying handle makes setup and transport easy, making the PB24 a professional, reliable, and versatile solution for multi-microphone distribution in live press and conference environments.
