The Yamaha MTX5-D is a professional 34 x 16 matrix mixer and signal processor designed for multi-zone commercial installations. With 8 mic/line inputs, 8 analog outputs, 16 channels of YDIF digital I/O, 16 channels of Dante digital I/O, an SD card slot, and a MY Card slot for expansion, the MTX5-D provides the processing backbone for retail stores, restaurants, bars, banquet halls, and other midsized installations. It enables precise configuration, programming, and management of your entire sound system through the intuitive MTX-MRX Editor software.
Powerful Audio Processing Functions
Equipped with a wide array of processing features, the MTX5-D ensures high-quality sound in any environment. It includes 3-band parametric EQ, compressor/gate, auto gain control, eight priority duckers, and eight feedback suppressors for input channels. For outputs, high-performance processors such as 4-band parametric EQ, delay, and speaker processing ensure accurate sound distribution and optimal performance for each zone. These functions allow installers to fine-tune every aspect of the system to match the unique acoustic environment.
Flexible Networking and Expansion
The MTX5-D supports both Dante and Yamaha’s proprietary YDIF digital audio formats for seamless integration and flexible routing across multiple devices. Dante enables audio distribution over long distances, while YDIF allows up to 16 channels of audio and word clock over Ethernet. A Mini-YGDAI card slot further expands the system with additional analog or digital inputs/outputs, making it easy to scale the system for larger installations.
Easy Control and Management
End users can easily manage the MTX5-D via Yamaha’s DCP series wall-mounted control panels, with up to eight panels daisy-chained over 200 meters of cable, powered directly from the processor. The dedicated MTX-MRX Editor software simplifies system setup and configuration, while a dedicated iPhone app allows convenient remote control of volume levels and presets. With built-in support for external controllers such as AMX or Crestron, the MTX5-D offers unparalleled flexibility for modern commercial audio environments.
