Description
The Yamaha MY8AE is a professional AES/EBU digital I/O expansion card that provides eight inputs and eight outputs via a single 25-pin D-Sub connector. Designed to expand digital connectivity, it enables reliable transfer of up to eight channels of high-quality digital audio, making it well suited for professional recording, broadcast, and live sound applications.
Supporting 24-bit resolution at 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sampling rates, the MY8AE delivers accurate and noise-free digital audio transmission using the AES/EBU format. Each AES/EBU connection carries two channels (stereo) of audio in and out, allowing up to eight tracks of simultaneous digital audio transfer when used with the required APDB254XMF (or equivalent) breakout cable.
The MY8AE is compatible with a wide range of Yamaha equipment, including the 01V, PM1D, DME32, AW4416, AW2816, SREV1, DM2000, and 02R96. Its compact, easy-to-install design makes it an ideal digital expansion solution for integrating external digital devices into Yamaha-based professional audio systems.
