Chauvet DJ COLORband Spectra ILS Motorized RGB+WW Pixel Strip Light

The Chauvet DJ COLORband Spectra ILS (COLORBANDSPECTRAILS) is a motorized pixel strip light for mobile DJs, clubs, weddings and stages that works as a sweeping moving effect, pixel-mapped chase, blinder or wall washer. It puts 40 individually controllable RGB+WW LEDs in a 39.4-inch low-profile bar with 180 degrees of motorized tilt, and puts out 1,938 lumens with a tunable white range of 3,000K to 14,000K.

It runs from DMX over 3-pin or 5-pin XLR, from Chauvet's ILS wireless system, from an RF remote or in master/slave mode, and it is D-Fi USB compatible for wireless DMX or master/slave without data cables. powerCON-compatible power in and out lets you link up to 9 units on one 120V circuit.

What makes the COLORband Spectra ILS different from a regular LED strip light?

It moves. Built-in motors tilt the bar through 180 degrees, so one fixture can sweep across a room, then hold still as a pixel chase, a blinder or a wall wash, all from the same 40 individually controlled LEDs.

Can it do warm and cool white as well as color?

Yes. Each LED adds a warm white chip to red, green and blue, and the white output tunes from 3,000K to 14,000K, so it can wash a wedding head table in warm white and switch to saturated color on the dance floor.

Do I need a DMX controller to run it?

No. It runs in master/slave mode or from an RFC or RFC-XL remote, and it joins an ILS show with other ILS fixtures. Full pixel control is available over DMX, with up to 164 channels, from a desk or the optional ILS Command.

How many can I power from one outlet?

Up to 9 units at 120 V, or 16 at 230 V, daisy-chained through the powerCON-compatible input and output. Each unit draws 86 W at 120 V.

COLORband Spectra ILS or COLORband PiX-M ILS?

Both are motorized strip lights. The Spectra ILS has 40 RGB+WW LEDs, 1,938 lumens, tunable white from 3,000K to 14,000K, 180 degrees of tilt and a 39.4-inch, 10 lb body. The COLORband PiX-M ILS uses 10 RGB LEDs with no white chip, tilts 245 degrees, reaches 7,441 lux at 2 m and is shorter and lighter at 31 inches and 8.2 lb.
