The JBL Control 25AV is a versatile 2-way passive loudspeaker Pair system designed for foreground music and voice applications in indoor and outdoor environments. Sold as a pair, each speaker combines a 5.25" polypropylene-coated paper woofer with a 0.75" titanium-coated PEI tweeter. The speaker delivers a frequency range of 70 Hz to 23 kHz for clear and balanced audio reproduction. Its 100° x 100° coverage pattern provides broad and consistent sound distribution. With 200W program power handling, it is suitable for a variety of commercial and installation applications. The magnetically shielded enclosure also allows use near video monitors.
The Control 25AV features a low-saturation 60W transformer for flexible distributed-audio installation. Transformer taps provide 15W, 30W, and 60W settings at 100V, while 70V operation provides 7.5W, 15W, 30W, and 60W settings. An 8Ω bypass setting allows the speaker to be used with conventional low-impedance amplifiers. The 12 dB/octave crossover network provides smooth frequency distribution between the woofer and tweeter. SonicGuard circuitry provides full-range power limiting and protection against excessive input levels. The screw-down terminal strip supports secure and convenient installation wiring.
Built for demanding installation environments, the JBL Control 25AV features a high-impact polystyrene enclosure with a stainless steel grille. Its IPX4 water-resistant construction provides protection for suitable indoor and outdoor applications. The included InvisiBall mounting system allows flexible aiming while maintaining a discreet installation appearance. The speaker provides up to 113 dB peak SPL and 107 dB continuous SPL with 87 dB sensitivity. Its mounting system offers flexible horizontal and vertical adjustment. The Control 25AV is well suited for restaurants, retail spaces, hospitality venues, commercial facilities, outdoor entertainment areas, and distributed sound systems.
