Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7 Scratch Style 2-Channel Pro DJ Controller
Description
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7 (DDJ REV7, DDJREV7) is a scratch-style 2-channel DJ controller with motorized jog wheels, made for Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox. Each deck has a servo direct-drive platter that spins at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm like a turntable, with a vinyl-textured top plate and a 3.5-inch LCD in the center. The layout copies a DJM-S battle mixer between two PLX turntables, with horizontal tempo sliders, MAGVEL FADER PRO, effect levers and 4 built-in scratch samples. It has two LINE/PHONO inputs, two mic inputs, an XLR master output, measures 28.8 x 15.0 x 3.2 inches (732 x 382.2 x 82.4 mm) and weighs 23.6 lb (10.7 kg).
Serato DJ Pro runs with the DDJ-REV7 without buying a license, and rekordbox has been officially supported since March 2024 with the latest controller firmware. A Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ voucher is in the box.

Are the DDJ-REV7 jog wheels really motorized?
Yes. Each deck has a servo-type direct-drive platter turned by a 3-phase brushless DC motor, with an electronic brake. It spins at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm, reaches speed in 0.7 seconds at 33 1/3 rpm, and has low and high torque settings. Pioneer DJ calls it the 7-inch VINYLIZED JOG: the aluminum platter is 207 mm across, and the acrylic top plate has a vinyl-like texture, with two slip sheets per deck so you can set the friction. A Stop Time setting controls how fast the music stops when you press pause.
Does the DDJ-REV7 work with rekordbox?
Yes. Pioneer DJ added official rekordbox support in March 2024; update the controller to the latest firmware first. It was launched in 2022 for Serato DJ Pro, which still works with it without a license purchase.
Can I connect turntables to the DDJ-REV7?
Yes. It has two LINE/PHONO RCA inputs, so you can plug in turntables or CDJs and mix them through the controller. Playing digital files from timecode vinyl (DVS) in Serato DJ Pro is a paid expansion pack bought separately.
Can I use it without a laptop?
Not to mix files: the music and DJ software run on a PC or Mac. The 4 Instant Scratch samples are built into the controller, so you can fire them even when no computer is connected.
What else is on the DDJ-REV7?
- On Jog Display. A 3.5-inch LCD in each platter shows the waveform, BPM, tempo and time, a virtual deck, track artwork, or your own logo loaded with the Image Transfer Tool.
- Instant Scratch. 4 scratch samples on dedicated buttons, or 4 banks of your own samples from Serato DJ Pro (Sample Scratch in rekordbox).
- 22 Beat FX, including Duck Down, Fill Out and Helix Out, on effect levers you can hold for a burst or lock on.
- Silent Cue and Smooth Echo buttons, and 8 hot cues per deck on the Performance Pads.
- Serato Stems control from the Deck Pads: Stems Mute, Stems Separate and Stems Level.
- Handles on the chassis for carrying it to a gig.
What outputs does it have for a PA system?
An XLR master output (MASTER 1) for a mixer or powered speakers with XLR inputs, a second RCA master output (MASTER 2), and a 1/4-inch TRS booth output. There are two microphone inputs, one XLR/1/4-inch TRS combo and one 1/4-inch TRS, with a 2-band mic EQ and an echo knob.
What is in the box?
The DDJ-REV7, an AC adapter, a power cord, one USB cable, a Quick Start Guide, Precautions for Use, a Serato DJ Pro Expansion Pack voucher (Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ) and marking stickers for the platters. To connect two computers for a DJ changeover, add a second USB 2.0 cable.
