The RCF ART 945-A (ART-945A, ART945A) is a 15-inch powered PA speaker and the highest-output model in RCF's ART 9 series. It pairs a 15-inch neodymium woofer with a 4-inch voice coil titanium compression driver, driven by a 2100 W peak Class-D bi-amplifier, and reaches 135 dB max SPL from 45 Hz to 20 kHz with 100° x 60° coverage. It weighs 49.4 lb (22.4 kg), and it is the only ART 9 model with sealed powerCON TRUE1 TOP power in and out for linking power to a second speaker.
Use it as a main PA speaker on a stand or over a subwoofer, as a floor monitor, or fly it from its M10 rigging points. RCF FiRPHASE processing and Bass Motion Control are built in.

How is the ART 945-A different from the ART 935-A and ART 915-A?
All three are 15-inch ART 9 speakers with the same 2100 W amplifier and 100° x 60° coverage. The difference is the drivers: the ART 945-A has the largest compression driver and a neodymium woofer, which gives the most output and a lower crossover point.

Pick the ART 945-A for the most output and vocal clarity at distance. The ART 935-A has a 3-inch driver and standard IEC power, and the ART 915-A is the entry 15-inch model. For a 12-inch box with the same amplifier, see the ART 932-A.
Why does the 4-inch compression driver matter?
It allows a crossover point of only 650 Hz, which RCF says gives a better impulse response, fast decay and higher efficiency. The titanium driver sits on RCF's True Resistive Waveguide, which gives constant directivity across the listening area.
What is powerCON TRUE1 TOP?
A sealed, locking power connector rated for outdoor use. RCF's TOP (True Outdoor Protection) connectors are IP-protected and UV resistant to UL50E. The ART 945-A has a powerCON TRUE1 TOP input and an output, so one power run can feed a second speaker. Per the RCF manual, the power link carries up to 1600 W at 100 to 120 V.
What controls are on the back?
A preset selector with three settings: LINEAR for normal use, BOOST for low-volume background music, and STAGE for use as a floor monitor. There is one balanced XLR/1/4-inch combo input, an XLR output to link more speakers, a volume control and signal and overload LEDs.
Can I plug a microphone straight in?
Not directly. The combo input expects a line-level signal (-2 dBu / +4 dBu sensitivity), so run microphones through a mixer first. If you want mic preamps, a mixer and Bluetooth built into the speaker, look at the ART 9 AX models such as the ART 915-AX.
Does it need a fan?
No. The amplifier is mounted to an aluminum heat exchanger on the back of the cabinet and cools by convection, with no moving parts. RCF's Bass Motion Control replaces a fixed high-pass filter and limits only woofer over-excursion, so the speaker keeps its low end at high volume.
How do I mount it?
On a speaker stand or a subwoofer pole using the 35 mm pole socket, on the floor as a stage monitor, or suspended from its M10 points (one on top, one on each side) with RCF's AC-ART915-SB suspension bar. RCF warns never to hang ART speakers by their handles.
