Description
The Shure SB920 (SB920A) is the lithium-ion rechargeable battery for Shure Axient Digital ADX2 and ADX2FD handheld wireless transmitters, which use the SB920A exclusively. In an ADX2 it runs up to 9 hours at 10 mW, charges to 50% in 1 hour and to full in 3 hours.
It is the battery to buy as a spare or replacement for an ADX2 or ADX2FD handheld. The transmitter and receiver screens show the remaining runtime in hours and minutes, and the transmitter's Battery menu reports charge percentage, battery health, cycle count and temperature.

Which transmitters use the SB920?
The ADX2 and ADX2FD handheld transmitters. Shure states these handhelds use the SB920A exclusively. The ADX1 bodypack uses a different battery, the SB910.
How long does an SB920 last per charge?
Up to 9 hours in an ADX2 at 10 mW RF power. Shure's chart gives 11 to 12 hours at 2 mW and 6 to 8 hours at 40 mW. Higher RF power shortens runtime, and runtime also varies with battery age and conditions.
How do I charge it?
In a Shure charger only. The SBC240 takes any combination of 2 SB910 or SB920 batteries or ADX1, ADX2 and ADX2FD transmitters, and the ADX2 has external contacts so it can charge in the dock with the battery inside. The SBC240-US is the same charger with the PS60 power supply included.
How should I store spare SB920 batteries?
At about 40% charge and at room temperature. Shure recommends checking stored batteries every 6 months and recharging to 40% as needed. The SBC240's storage mode charges or discharges each battery to 3.8 volts for storage longer than 8 days.
SB920 or SB910?
The SB920 powers the ADX2 and ADX2FD handhelds. The SB910 powers the ADX1 bodypack and the ADXR Axient Digital PSM bodypack receiver. They are not interchangeable between those transmitters, but both charge in the same SBC240 dock.
