Description
The Shure SBC450-US (SBC450US) is a 4-bay networked docking station that charges and controls up to four ULXD6 boundary or ULXD8 gooseneck-base wireless transmitters running Shure SB900-series rechargeable batteries, and this US model includes the PS60 power supply. A 15-minute charge gives about 1 hour of use, 1 hour reaches 50 percent and 3 hours reaches a full charge, while the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port lets Wireless Workbench, SystemOn, AMX or Crestron monitor and adjust every docked transmitter.
It suits installed systems that use ULX-D boundary and gooseneck microphones: the transmitters sit in the dock between uses, stay charged, and can be reconfigured over the network. Five LEDs per slot show each battery's charge level at a glance.

What can I control through the dock?
From Wireless Workbench or another control system you can change the mute button and mute LED behavior or brightness, high-pass filter, RF power, power lock, initial state when removed from the charger, battery type, device and channel names, frequency (Wireless Workbench only), Normal or High-Density mode, and boundary and gooseneck offset. Wireless Workbench also shows each battery's charge, health, cycle count and temperature.
Which batteries and transmitters does it charge?
ULXD6 and ULXD8 transmitters fitted with Shure SB900-series rechargeable batteries. Slide a transmitter into any slot to start charging. Shure's guidance is to charge only Shure rechargeable batteries in it.
What happens if the dock loses power?
Docked transmitters power off as well, and charging resumes when power is restored.
Can it update firmware?
Yes. Use the Shure Update Utility over the network to update both the docking station and the docked transmitters.
SBC450-US or SBC450?
They are the same 4-bay dock. The SBC450-US includes the PS60 power supply; the SBC450 ships without a power supply, for installs that already have one. Shure also makes the 8-bay SBC850 (15.43 in wide, 5.89 lb), and Hollywood DJ carries the smaller SBC220-US 2-bay networked docking charger. Transmitters to dock: ULXD6/C, ULXD6/O and ULXD8.
