The Yamaha DXS18XLF-D is a Dante-equipped, powered 18" bass-reflex subwoofer designed to pair seamlessly with DZR full-range loudspeakers. Driven by a high-output 4" voice coil and a powerful 1600W Class-D amplifier, it delivers a class-leading 136 dB SPL with an extended 30 Hz–150 Hz frequency range. This combination produces deep, authoritative low-end with exceptional clarity, making it ideal for large venues, touring systems, and demanding live sound applications.
High-Resolution DSP & Bass Management:
At the core of the DXS18XLF-D is 96 kHz high-resolution DSP, providing ultra-low latency and precise control over system performance. Yamaha’s D-XSUB processing offers multiple LF modes—NORMAL for balanced response, BOOST for added punch, and XTENDED LF for deeper sub-bass extension. When deploying multiple subwoofers, cardioid mode effectively reduces on-stage low-frequency buildup while directing more bass energy toward the audience for a cleaner, more controlled sound field.
Dante Connectivity & System Integration:
The DXS18XLF-D features built-in Dante I/O (2-in / 2-out) with SRC, ensuring seamless compatibility with 48 kHz systems and easy integration with Yamaha digital consoles and other Dante-enabled devices. Flexible routing using both analog and Dante connections allows for sophisticated system configurations, while support for Yamaha ProVisionare Control and ProVisionare Touch enables convenient remote monitoring and control in professional networked audio environments.
Road-Ready Cabinet Design:
Built for durability and portability, the DXS18XLF-D is housed in a lightweight yet rigid plywood enclosure finished in a premium Polyurea coating for outstanding resistance to scratches, impacts, and harsh touring conditions. An ergonomic aluminum handle simplifies handling, while optional wheel kits and padded speaker covers provide added protection and ease of transport.
