The Yamaha MY16-MD64 MADI Expansion Card is a high-performance solution for expanding digital audio capabilities in professional setups. Designed for use with compatible Yamaha devices that accept mini-YGDAI expansion cards, it provides a 16-in/16-out MADI interface with 24-bit resolution and can be expanded up to 64-in/64-out when paired with up to three MY16-EX expansion cards. This makes it ideal for multi-room production facilities, broadcasting environments, and large-scale recording applications.
The card supports bi-directional audio transfer over both coaxial and optical connections, offering coaxial runs up to 100 meters and optical runs up to 2,000 meters. The optical interface provides complete isolation from electromagnetic noise and interference, ensuring pristine audio quality even in challenging environments. Additionally, a failsafe redundancy function automatically switches between optical and coaxial inputs and outputs in the event of accidental disconnection, maintaining uninterrupted operation.
Compact and easy to install, the MY16-MD64 includes two BNC and two optical connectors for MADI I/O, along with two RJ-45 ports for MY16-EX expansion cards.
