Chauvet DJ 4BAR Hex ILS All-in-One RGBAW+UV 4-Par Wash Light System

The Chauvet DJ 4BAR Hex ILS (4BARHEXILS) is an all-in-one wash lighting system for mobile DJs, bands and small stages: four hex-color RGBAW+UV LED pods on a bar, with a tripod stand, carrying bags and a wireless footswitch in the box. Each pod has 42 LEDs and puts out 1570 lux at 2 m, the stand reaches 7 ft 4 in, and the bar and pods weigh 12.2 lb.

Six colors of LED (red, green, blue, amber, white and UV) give saturated washes and natural-looking whites, and the four heads aim individually to cover a room or stage. Control it out of the box with the footswitch, add the optional IRC-6 remote, or go wireless DMX or master/slave with a D-Fi USB (sold separately). It is part of Chauvet's ILS system, and built-in bolts let you move the bar from the stand to truss.

Is the stand included?

Yes. The 4BAR Hex ILS comes with a tripod that reaches 7 ft 4 in, a carrying bag for the light bar, a tripod bag and a wireless footswitch, so it is ready to set up out of the box.

What does hex-color RGBAW+UV mean?

Each LED mixes six colors: red, green, blue, amber, white and UV. Amber and white widen the color range and give more natural-looking whites than RGB alone, and UV adds blacklight effects.

Can I control it without a DMX controller?

Yes. The included wireless footswitch works up to 100 ft away, the optional IRC-6 remote adds more control, and a D-Fi USB (sold separately) gives wireless master/slave or DMX. On a wired rig it takes 6, 8 or 27 DMX channels over 3-pin XLR.

Can I mount it on truss instead of the stand?

Yes. Built-in bolts let you mount the bar safely on truss.

4BAR Hex ILS or 4BAR Quad ILS?

Same bar, stand, bags and footswitch, and the same 12.2 lb weight. The 4BAR Hex ILS has 42 RGBAW+UV LEDs per pod for amber, white and UV, and 1570 lux at 2 m per pod through a 16 degree beam. The 4BAR Quad ILS has 28 RGBA LEDs per pod and is brighter at 2,353 lux at 2 m per pod through a 14 degree beam, but has no white or UV.
