Description
The LD Systems MAUI P900 FLIGHTCASE is the hood case built for the MAUI P900. It is made from 0.35 in (9 mm) birch plywood with foam inserts milled to the system's own shape, so nothing shifts and nothing is carrying load it should not.
The hardware is the part that matters on a case that will be moved a thousand times: spring-loaded folding handles in recessed trays, heavy ball corners, and 4 in (100 mm) swivel castors so the whole system rolls rather than gets carried.
Who actually needs this
Rental companies and anyone freighting the system. A P900 that lives in one room and travels in the back of one vehicle is well served by the SAT BAG and SUB PC cover at a fraction of the cost. A P900 that goes out on hire, gets stacked, or ships needs a case.
What it protects
The P900 is an aluminum column with a multi-layer elastic front cover and a Porsche Design Studio finish. It is not built to be stacked on, and its value is in a surface that shows every mark. The case exists so the system arrives looking like what it costs.
