RCF HDL10-A 1400-Watt Dual 8-Inch Active Line Array Module

The RCF HDL 10-A (HDL10-A) is a compact self-powered line array module for live sound reinforcement and installed systems. A Class-D two-way digital amplifier delivers 1400W peak (700W RMS) to dual 8" carbon fiber woofers and a large-format 2" compression driver, covering 65 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 133 dB max SPL. At 45 lb it is the module to reach for when you want line array behavior in a box one person can load.

Is the RCF HDL 10-A powered or passive?
It is fully powered. The Class-D amplifier and DSP are built into the cabinet, so no external amp or processor is needed.

How many can I fly together?
Up to 16 modules, using the heavy-duty fly bar and steel rigging mechanics. Angles between cabinets adjust in 2-degree increments, so you can build a true J-shaped or spiral array rather than a fixed curve.

How is it different from the HDL 20-A?
Both are 1400W peak. The HDL 20-A steps up to dual 10" woofers for deeper low end (55 Hz versus 65 Hz) and more output (135 dB versus 133 dB), but weighs 66.6 lb against the HDL 10-A's 45 lb. The 10-A is the easier box for one-person load-ins and tighter rooms.

Do I need a subwoofer with it?
Usually yes for music-forward shows. At 65 Hz the HDL 10-A handles speech and most live band material well, but DJ, hip-hop, and EDM programs will want subs underneath.
