The RCF HDL 20-A (HDL20-A) is a self-powered line array module built for mobile DJs, production companies, and rental houses who want touring-grade coverage without hauling amp racks. A built-in Class-D bi-amplifier delivers 1400W peak (700W RMS) to dual 10" woofers and a 3" voice coil compression driver, reaching 135 dB max SPL with response down to 55 Hz — enough to cover a mid-size venue, a corporate ballroom, or an outdoor stage from a single hang.

Onboard DSP includes cluster and high-frequency projection correction plus dedicated presets for indoor rooms and tight, high-curvature hangs. Common questions

Is the RCF HDL 20-A powered or passive?
It is fully powered. The Class-D bi-amp and DSP are built into the cabinet, so you do not need an external amplifier or processor.

Can I fly several of them as a curved array?
Yes. The angle between cabinets is selectable in 2-degree increments, so you can build true J-shaped or spiral arrays rather than a fixed curve. XLR in/out passes signal between boxes and powerCON in/out chains power, which keeps cable runs short on a multi-box hang.

How is it different from the HDL 10-A?
Both are 1400W peak, but the HDL 20-A uses dual 10" woofers instead of dual 8". That buys deeper low end (55 Hz versus 65 Hz) and more output (135 dB versus 133 dB), at 66.6 lb against the 10-A's 45 lb.

Do I need a subwoofer with it?
Not always. At 55 Hz the HDL 20-A carries most speech, live band, and general-purpose program on its own. Add a subwoofer when you are covering EDM, hip-hop, or club-level material where sub-50 Hz content matters.
